What is the best bottle to use for Novalac Reflux or thickened formula?
The best bottle to use for the Novalac Reflux or thickened Formula I have found is the Philips Avent Classic Bottle with a number 4 fast flow teat.
Our second son Hunter had really bad silent reflux when he was a baby. When he turned 4 months we moved to formula. Along with his medication, Hunter was recommended to use the Novalac Reflux formula. It worked so well for him, didn’t upset his stomach and he seemed to really like it.
The only problem we had was because it was such a thick formula we really struggled to find a bottle that wouldn’t clog up the teat. We tried all sorts and finally FINALLY got recommended the Philips Avent Classic Bottle. We use the number 4 fast flow teat and it has been a lifesaver.
At one stage before we came across the Avent bottle we actually changed the formula because it was too frustrating trying to feed Hunter without bottles clogging up! Unfortunately, the formula didn’t work with his tummy and we were back to the Novalac so we thank that wonderful lady at the chemist for the recommendation!
